Play the game without any rules (Have kids stand up and tell them we are going to play a game; then say, “okay play the game“; when they look bewildered, ask them “why is this difficult and what could we do to make it easier to do”… if they cannot think of rules, make sure that you say “What if we had rules?” to lead them to the point of this lesson; then, let explain the rules to a simple game like follow the leader or Simon says and let them play; at the end of the game, ask them if having rules made the game easier to play)
